Tony "Jack The Bear" Manz, is the owner and founder of Jack the Bear's Deluxe Mastering. Aside from mastering the entire Vacation Records catalogue (bar one or two), Tony has an extensive and impressive history in the scene.

Here's a little from the man himself....

Hi there, my name is Tony Manz, aka "Jack The Bear". I've been mastering for most of my working life in the music industry, which began back in 1981. I've had a stint at recording and mixing, as well as being a club and radio DJ, but thankfully found mastering as my calling. I've been lucky enough to have travelled extensively around the world, meeting and learning from some of the best in the business, and was trained in the art of vinyl mastering by Rick Essig at Frankford Wayne Mastering Labs, NYC. This was the same studio that that produced the likes of Tom Coyne and Herb Powers. Mastering is my PASSION! I just love it! It's what drives me and inspires me daily.

My recently-built facility is located in Brunswick Victoria, just off Sydney Rd, and is a stone's throw from downtown Melbourne. We are extremely proud that our rooms are designed by the legendary studio designer George Augspurger from Perception Inc, LA; a first for Australia. If you haven't heard of George don't worry, you would know many rooms that he has designed, including Marcussen Mastering LA, Sony Mastering NYC, Sunset Sound LA, Electric Lady Studios NYC (purpose-built for Jimi Hendrix), A&M Mastering LA to name but a few.

Deluxe Mastering is a no-compromise facility that has been built from the ground up to be not only technically amazing but a comfortable place to be creative. We really want you to feel at home. LCD TV with cable, wireless internet and a fully equipped kitchen; it's all here for your use to enhance your experience.
