Now, for all those that saw the last video (Canada part 2) you'd know that my bungee cord didn't break from my first time bungee jumping and i'm very much alive and well.
The wrap up for the Canadian tour took in 3 more shows (That's 11 shows in 17 days for those playing at home). The first of these was at a very cool, and very red nightclub in Vancouver called Shine. Vancouver is an awesome city. I could easily see myself living there. Very comfortable. The club also felt like home. It was Gin & Tonics, shots, and hands in the air all night. They like it tough there too. Which was fun to flex a bit more of my electro, indie, and fidget sides.
The next day I was on the ferry over to Vancouver Island to play a club called Hush. I played there once before the last time i toured actually. It was heaving then, and it was even more heaving now. So much so, that i was able to stage dive into the crowd (another first for me on this Canadian tour).
The third (for this week) and final show of the tour was at Gorgamish, back in Vancouver. It's more of a late night, dark, techy sort of club. After such heaving party vibes the last two nights, i think i needed a deeper night too. It was the perfect opportunity to play some of the new techno tunes i've written, and released on my new Techno label "Exit Row". I wasn't sure how it would go, as i was starting quite late, but everyone assured me this was the best time to play for that place. They were right. First song in and the place was jumping. To some seriously deep n techy business too. A special mention must be made to INSERT NAME HERE. It was an amazing sushi and sake bar that i went to before the show. Seriously some of the best sushi, and def the best sake i have ever had anywhere in the world.
To wrap it up, i'd have to say Canada is without a doubt one of my favourite places to tour. I can't recommend it enough. Massive thanks to JT (aka Flying J).....you're always welcome.
In the next blog/video, i'll take you to Glasgow in Scotland, and Moscow, Russia!
happy holidays
